Landlord fined $50 for fondling tenant's breasts.

A 41 year old landlord has been sentenced to 25 days in prison for fondling his young tenant’s breasts under the pretext that he was checking whether she had cancer or not.

Mickion Mavodyo, 41, was sentenced on his own plea of guilty when he appeared before Magistrate Oliver Mudzongachiso on Monday.

He was given the option of paying a $50 fine.

Prosecutor Nancy Makuvise told the court that the tenant, 18, who is an upper sixth student at a local school, had developed the habit of visiting her landlord's lounge to watch television.

On 11th June around 3pm, the girl went to the lounge as usual and found both Mavodyo and his maid watching television.

The court was told that the maid later went to attend to household chores and left Mavodyo in the company of the teenage girl behind.

Mavodyo reportedly told the girl that she had shapeless breasts which indicated that she could be having breast cancer.

He proceeded to fondle the girl’s breasts, pretending that he was screening her for the disease but the girl bolted out of the room and filed a police report leading to Mavodyo’s arrest.
