The deceased, believed to be part of the club’s fans from its Harare chapter, died after the Iveco bus they were travelling in burst its rear tyre, veered off the road and rolled three times before landing on its side at the 173km peg between Kadoma and Kwekwe near ZRP Battlefields.
The supporters were going to the Glamour Boys’ match against Chapungu in Gweru, which DeMbare won 1-0.
Snr Asst Comm Charamba urged people who are missing their relatives to visit Kwekwe General Hospital mortuary.
She urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is deeply concerned with the loss of lives in road accidents. We are urging motorists to avoid speeding and to exercise caution when travelling,” said Snr Asst Comm Charamba.
