Louis Van Gaal says its over at Manchester United

Louis Van Gaal has announced his time as Manchester United manager is over, the Dutchman made his decision after being approached by a Sky Sports reporter on Sunday, May 22.


The embattled manager also left the clubs hotel after they won the FA Cup against Crystal Palace on Saturday, May 21 at Wembley Stadium.

Van Gaal was asked by Sky Sports if he had anything to say regarding his future at Old Trafford.

“No. It’s over.” Van Gaal replied.

After the FA Cup win, Louis van Gaal remained defiant in the post-match press conference.

“I show you the Cup, I don’t discuss my future with the media.Thanks for the congratulations.” he said.

Jose Mourinho is yet to comment about taking the United job from Van Gaal.

Mourinho, had left Chelsea after conflict with his players and club owner in December 2016.

The Portuguese turned away offers from Paris Saint-Germain in the hope that United will appoint him as manager.

According to Guardian football, Mourinho has already agreed a salary and also discussed possible transfer targets with the club.

Mourinho will be likely be presented as United’s new manager once his agent, Jorge Mendes, has finalised the finer details of the contract.
