Zanu PF and CIO agents planning horror on Morgan Tsvangirai |
A visibly shaken Simango told NewsDay on Wednesday that the assault had left him "in shock".
The Pastor claims that his assailants said they would hunt him down because he support homosexuals whom he said are human beings created by God as well.
"I do not feel safe as I speak right now because of the attack against me. The gang threatened to come back for me. They said they would hunt me down because I support homosexuals whom I said are human beings created by God as well," Simango said.
A detective at Dema Police Station, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed receiving an assault report from Simango, but referred further questions to Police General Headquarters in Harare.
The issue of homosexuals has created mixed feelings in Zimbabwe with President Robert Mugabe repeatedly describing them as "worse than pigs and dogs".
